MINJI

Minji has a natural curiosity for stories, whether they come from books, conversations with friends, or the latest series everyone is talking about on Netflix. With a degree in literature, she is especially attentive to words, tone, and the small details that make language feel alive. She enjoys spending time in the cafés of Seoul, where reading, people-watching, and long chats blend easily into the rhythm of the city.

Teaching is where her interests truly come together. Minji loves connecting with fellow language enthusiasts and believes that learning works best when it feels personal and shared, not rigid or distant. She brings thisa mindset into her lessons, aiming to create a space where curiosity is encouraged and progress feels natural.

Outside of teaching, she finds joy in caring for animals, which reflects her patient and attentive nature. Minji hopes you will enjoy her lessons and feel supported as you explore the Korean language with confidence and curiosity.

SEOJUN

Seojun has always been drawn to stories that stretch across time. With a background in history, he developed a deep appreciation for how the past shapes language, culture, and the way people see themselves today. For him, learning and teaching Korean is inseparable from understanding where the words come from and the experiences they carry.

He loves spending time in museums, getting lost among artifacts and forgotten details, and he has a soft spot for historical video games, films, and theater performances that bring earlier eras back to life. These interests constantly feed his approach to sharing the Korean language, which he sees not as something static, but as a living record of centuries of change, conflict, and creativity.

Seojun enjoys sharing Korean with people around the world because it allows him to connect history with everyday speech. He hopes learners will discover that every expression has a story behind it, and that studying Korean is also a way of stepping into Korea’s past while engaging with its present.

YUJIN

Yujin works in marketing, where creativity and organization meet, but her interests extend well beyond her professional role. She has a special affection for cats and a soft spot for her young nephews, whose energy and curiosity often inspire her own outlook on life. Living in Busan, she is actively involved in organizing festivals and cultural events, enjoying the challenge of bringing people together and showcasing the city’s vibrant atmosphere.

Yujin values balance and intentionally cultivates a calm, healthy lifestyle. In her free time, she prefers slowing down, choosing simple routines, mindful moments, and habits that support both physical and mental well-being. This relaxed approach allows her to stay grounded while working on projects that require focus and coordination.

Through her work and personal passions, Yujin aims to promote culture in a way that feels accessible and welcoming. She believes that meaningful experiences are created when creativity, community, and well-being come together naturally.

DOYUN

Doyun is a teacher at heart, but he feels most like himself outdoors. When he is not in the classroom, you will usually find him hiking with his dogs, running along forest trails, or planning his next camping trip with friends. Nature is where he slows down, clears his head, and reconnects with what really matters to him.

Korea’s landscapes play a big role in his life. He loves the dramatic peaks of Seoraksan, the long peaceful trails of Jirisan, and the rugged coastlines and volcanic scenery of Jeju Island. For Doyun, these places are not just beautiful destinations, but spaces where friendships grow, stories are shared, and a simple beer after a long hike tastes better than anything else.

He hopes to pass on this side of Korea to others, showing that beyond cities and technology there is a country rich in forests, mountains, and quiet moments. Through his experiences, he wants people to discover Korea as a place meant to be walked, explored, and truly lived.

JIMIN

Jimin is the person behind the look, feel, and voice of everything you see across our Korean language and cultural content. She works in marketing, but what really drives her is consistency, making sure that every detail reflects Korea with care, warmth, and authenticity rather than clichés.

Outside of work, Jimin is a mother of two and values the rhythm of everyday life. She enjoys being at home, cooking Korean dishes, and welcoming friends and guests around the table, where conversations flow as easily as the food. Her family story is deeply international: her husband was born in the United States and later moved to South Korea, where he had to face the challenge of learning the language from scratch.

Because of this, Jimin understands firsthand how demanding but rewarding that journey can be. She wishes you the very best in your Korean studies and encourages you to persevere, trusting that patience and curiosity always pay off.

MINJUN

Minjun is someone who believes that language is never just a tool, but a way of seeing the world. After studying literature, he found his path in journalism, drawn to stories that sit beneath the surface and rarely get told. Living abroad was a turning point in his life. It was there that he met his wife, started a family, and gradually realized how limited and stereotyped much of the global perception of Korea still is.

Now a father of two, Minjun is especially sensitive to the idea of legacy, what gets passed on, and what gets lost along the way. This awareness has shaped his mission: to share a deeper, more nuanced understanding of Korean culture through its language. He is particularly passionate about highlighting aspects of Korean that are often overlooked, misunderstood, or simplified in mainstream narratives. Through his work, Minjun hopes to replace clichés with context and curiosity, and to help others discover Korea not as an exotic image, but as a living, complex culture.
